LONDON CALLING

I want you to love this city as much as I do and to leave with fabulous memories. I can show you my beautiful home town London … Your way or my way .. Let’s go .. TAXI ! Let’s explore London in an electric,  iconic, Black Taxi.

All the sights .. of course I do a tour of all the popular sights in London.

Westminster ,the Abbey , The houses of parliament onto Buckingham palace taking time to see the changing of the guards, The River Thames …St Paul’s cathedral. We can build the tour around your schedule.

There is a story on every corner And as we move around London I will share them with you . We can also get out and have a walk around. By the same rule we can remain in the taxi .

I offer a door to door service in our brand new taxi. We have air conditioning for a comfortable journey.

What a stunning part of the country. We will leave and travel through the beautiful Oxford countryside.

Arrive at the Old Market town Of Burford (about  2 hours from London) Walk through the lanes and visit the old Burford Church once attacked by Oliver Cromwell. 

See the lovely Cotswold Architecture dating back centuries.

A great place for a cup of tea!

Move on to Bibury, a gorgeous setting for the old weavers cottages in a typical Cotswold village. another chance to stretch our legs, and take in the beauty.

Finally we will Move on to the Gorgeous Lacock, This Village is an untouched  living village protected by the National Trust, We can visit the 800 year old Abbey. Its beautiful Cloister showing off architecture from Tudor to Victorian.

The Village dates from 13th century full of picturesque cottages.

We can book a table in the Angel a 15th century coaching inn, a lovely end to our day before the drive back to London.

A great day out from London . We will make our way down the A303 taking in the beautiful English countryside,

Stop at a 15th century pub on the way that serves great fish and chips and beers amongst other delights.

We will move on toVisit The amazing Stones on Salisbury Plain. We can pay entry and go to the visitors centre and get the bus provided right up to the stones. And take in the lovely scenery.

We will move on to the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury. We will visit the 800 year old cathedral which holds one of the best copies of the Magna Carta. And holds some great stories. Walk amongst some of the most quant English architecture and streets. Again plenty of nice eateries and pubs, something for everyone.

We will the drive back to London which takes around 2 hours.

On the way from London we will visit the historic site of Runnymede. The birthplace of the Magna Carta.

Take in some amazing views of the local countryside and of Windsor itself.

I will book your tickets for the castle if you would like to go inside . I will take you for a walk around the area showing you some of the sights and sharing some historic moments. This was the venue for Harry and Megans wedding in May.  So we will visit St George’s chapel  where the wedding took place.  And also visit the place of Prince Charles wedding to Camilla.

It is the home of Queen Elizabeth II.

We will also visit Eton School Attended by Harry just a short walk from his grandmothers home !

This tour can be used as a layover tour. If you are at Heathrow and have to wait a few hours for a connecting flight why not spend the time taking in the sights at Windsor.

On the slideshow you will  see Thornhill’s painted ceiling.  Conservation work has recently finished and it is looking amazing. 

Greenwich park is where I played as a child , My mother and Father where their mother and father played …. and so on … Let’s look at some social history along the way .

Ronnie Scott’s for jazz lovers where Sarah Vaughn, Count Basie and Miles Davis played, the club still hosts biggest names in jazz.

The Lyceum also has a history of presenting gigs: Led Zeppelin, Prince and The Smiths all played here and U2 signed their contract with Island Records in 1980.

The Electric Ballroom used to be a Masonic lodge. 

The Rainbow  where Hendrix, Bowie, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa played.
